Summary: A dynamic multi-state commercial and industrial painting subcontractor seeks a skilled journeyman painter with experience in both exterior and interior industrial and commercial painting, wallcoverings, and coatings. Duties & Qualifications: * Extensive knowledge of most painting materials and application methods. * Prepares, primes, sands, seals, and patches and paints furniture, surfaces, buildings, and fixtures utilizing all types of painting materials such as varnish, lacquer, shellac, enamel, latex, epoxy, waterproofing, and heat resistant finishes. * Responsible for cross-checking colors and confirming products supplied to match the job files. * Applies materials to new construction, existing, remodeled buildings. * Exhibit professional demeanor and represents the company while at client job sites * Understand and interpret blueprints and scope specifications. * Complete required reports accurately and in a timely manner. * Understands the importance and how to complete field change orders and submittals. * Trained and capable with multi-level scaffolding, extension ladders and spray systems. * Maintains tools, equipment, and trucks assigned the employee; Always maintains a clean and safe work area.
