Task 1. Enforce company policies, quality standards, and safety requirements consistently to all subordinates. 2. Foreman is the only person authorized to leave the job site to purchase materials and should notify the field manager at the time he needs to leave. 3. Responsible for bringing water to the jobsite at the start of the day. 4. Must be at jobsite 15 minutes prior to crew’s scheduled start time. Ensure that your crew is engaging in work activities at start time. 5. Ensure that all crew members have their own tools every day. Responsible for ensuring that tools used by workers are in usable condition and do not show signs of excessive wear. 6. Responsible for preparation of all paperwork required by the office: a. crew time sheets b. labor hours by function c. material usage reports d. production reports e. daily logs f. accident reports 7. Preparation of paperwork should be done throughout the day as part of your daily function. Additional hours needed to prepare reports will need to be approved by a supervisor. 8. Work plan - develop daily work plan to include materials, inventory, and storage. 9. Supervise plastering/EIFS crew to maintain top quality workmanship, efficiency, employee satisfaction, morale, communication, teamwork, and pride. 10. Subordinate training – groom lead journeyman on daily reporting requirements. 11. Designated OSHA competent person. 12. Communication with GC superintendent. 13. Conduct weekly safety meetings. 14. Recommend, and may initiate personnel actions, for promotions, transfers, and training requirements. 15. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a journeyman plasterer. Ability to create daily work plan: identify and estimate the quantity of materials needed to complete a job, and accurately estimate how long a job will take to complete. Ability to read and understand plans. Must be familiar with plastering/EIFS application. OSHA 10 and CPR/AED certified Must have current EIFS certificate. Must have a valid driver’s license and is insurable. DOT card maybe required Foreman Level should be working towards learning English or Spanish. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift up to 100lbs throughout the day. Workers need to be in good physical condition and have good eye-hand coordination, a sense of balance and manual dexterity. WORKING CONDITONS As in many other construction trades, this work is physically demanding, foreman will spend 85% or more time outdoors in extreme (summer) to moderate (winter) temperature, and most of the day on your feet, either standing, bending, stretching, or kneeling. Some workers need to use stilts; others may have to lift and maneuver heavy, cumbersome materials. Hazards include falls from ladders and scaffolds, and injuries from power tools and from working with sharp tools, such as utility knives.
