Job Overview The Jayhawk Club is currently seeking seasonal workers in the Golf Maintenance department for the 2021 season! Seasonal maintenance workers will assist in all aspects of daily maintenance of the golf course and club grounds at The Jayhawk Club. This is an outdoor position that will require some physical labor. Successful staff members will adhere to The Jayhawk Club standards, policies, and safety guidelines. Potential Duties: • Mowing, trimming, edging, blowing of all turfgrass areas • Raking of golf course bunkers • General golf course construction work: shoveling of trenches, stripping and laying of sod, raking and shoveling of sand • Operate mowing equipment as needed • General cleanup of golf course and club grounds Qualifications: • Must possess a valid driver’s license • Must be legally able to work in the United States • Ability to work outside in changing and harsh weather conditions • Regularly be able to lift 50 lbs • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed • Ability to arrive at work in the early morning and on time • Ability to follow instructions and work safely • Have some knowledge of the game of golf • Previous golf course maintenance experience preferred but not required 44+ hours per week (OT at 1.5x rate available), $11-15 per hour depending on experience
