Come by TODAY and fill out an application and Interview. * * * Production Manager / Ship & Yard Manager* * * All Star Metals LLC (“ASM”), a subsidiary of Illinois based, Scrap Metal Services (“SMS”), a dynamic scrap metal recycling and processing company, is looking for a Production Manager to add to its ship dismantling and recycling operation in Brownsville, Texas. This position will be an integral part of the local ship dismantling team. As a production manager, you'll oversee the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations aboard the vessel and in the facility yard. You'll be involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage. A large part of the job is dealing with people and resource management.This is a full time position and will require at times 40 plus hours. Experience in the ship yard industry is a must with at least 5 years of front line production manager experince. Must be able to work independently in fast-paced work environment and adapt to changing situations. Role requires critical thinking, creative problem solving and excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with proven ability to motivate and persuade at multiple levels in a professional organization. Will report directly to Facility General Manager. * * * Maintenance Manager * * * In search of a real Go Getter, person responsible for overseeing all installation, repair and upkeep operations of an organization's facilities. This means thinking ahead, supporting planning and work scheduling, and having procedures for all the maintenance activities, from the most routine lubrication task to the most complex equipment shutdown. Needs to be a hands on Mechanic as well. Someone who can work on, diagnose, repair and maintain Heavy Equipment such as Front Loaders, Excavators, Material Handlers, and Semi-tractors and trailers (Volvo, Caterpillar, Mack, etc.).
