Join us in trying something new and daring: Roller Derby! Michelle Smith is starting up the Roaring Fork Roller Derby and is giving women the opportunity to learn more about the sport each Thursday night at the Glenwood Community Center. We will be working on letting go of being cool and always in control while cultivating laughter, play and joy. For this event you NEED to bring your own equipment as the Community Center does not offer rentals. It will cost $10 upon arrival to use the space at the community center. Required equipment includes roller-skates, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards and a helmet. Links to follow soon about recommended brands of roller-skates. If you are interested but cannot afford or are not ready to commit to purchasing equipment, feel free to show up and watch to learn more about everything first.
