Sweetest Cat with a Sad Past... Please Save Him

This is Ghost. He is a handsome, all-white cat with little touches of pink here and there. He is also the sweetest, cuddliest cat. He loves being stroked, especially on top of his head and under his chin. He gives you lots of hugs and kisses, and is happiest when you are near. Ghost was found in an abandoned parking lot with several injuries, including a massive, bleeding neck wound. Neighbors informed me that he had been like that for an entire year! They also told me that he was abandoned as a kitten by an mentally ill elderly neighbor who moved away. Since then, he has been constantly attacked, not only by other cats, but also by bad people in the neighborhood. To be honest, I don't know how he managed to survive for so long in his condition. Thankfully, I found him and brought him home with me. He has been neutered and vaccinated, and his wounds are starting to heal, though he will likely have some deep scars remaining. I am a cat rescuer looking for the perfect home for this little guy, and will be vetting applicants extensively. He needs an experienced cat owner with no small children in the home. (He is good with other cats though.) Although he is very sweet, he doesn't understand the concept of boundaries yet. He is constantly seeking affection. He doesn't like it when you leave him alone, and will sometimes try to swat you in order to convince you to stay. That said, his behavior is getting better day by day, as he learns to trust me and get more comfortable in his new surroundings.
