Shelter animals are so vulnerable and scared. They didn't ask to end up in a shelter and they are in danger of being destroyed daily. That can only happen if there are qualified adopters and fosters. So many dogs in the shelters and most are big dogs and the misunderstood bully breeds. Some dogs have behavior challenges so you must be confident you can either work with dog or work with a trainer. Be sure this is not a knee jerk reaction to save a life..
