Josephine Foster is a singer-songwriter from Colorado. Known to breathe new life into archaic forms, she embodies the cultural archaeology of Harry Smith’s old weird America and has lent her enigmatic voice and interpretive wit to two decades of recordings. Along with material from her most recent double album Faithful Fairy Harmony (2018, Fire Records) and No Harm Done (Fire Records, 2020) she will play some songs she composed when living in Chicago in the early aughts. Michael Zerang will join her for a couple songs in this set.
