Eight day community activation inviting LA-residents to heal and envision an equitable future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Culture Cures is an eight-day altar program to support LA County residents to collectively heal through mental health and wellbeing activities like sound baths, yoga sessions, healing circles and more. The COVID-19 pandemic, its associated trauma and loss, economic hardship and racial injustice continue to impact communities across the County. BIPOC communities continue to collectively heal from the trauma and social inequities exacerbated by COVID – including food insecurity, wealth inequality and the digital divide. As such, equitably distributing resources is a crucial next step to make Los Angeles whole. All LA County residents are welcome to join in the process of collective healing and building a radical future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
