Drummer here, new to the area. Back in OH I played in a community big band. Everybody welcome, wide range of ages and ability. A fun hang where younger players could sit with and learn from older, better players. Is there anything like that here? Willing to go 30-40 minutes from Port Orange area, happy to share time with other drummers. I can read a chart, solid time keeper. Also played small group standards, real book, etc. Would be interested in anything like that. I like paying gigs but open to other things. AND: Where are the open mic places? I sing too, would love to meet some others and find opportunities. Thanks for looking.
