Description
WAUKESHA, WI— A team of assessors from the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group (WILEAG) will be on-site June 8 through June 10 to examine all aspects of the Waukesha County Sheriffs policies and procedures, management, operations and support services, according to a news release.
Agencies are required to comply with all the standards in these areas to earn accreditation, which is a highly prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence, the release said.
As part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and the public are invited to offer comments by calling 262-548-7019 on June 9 between 1-2 p.m.
Telephone comments are limited to ten minutes and must address the agency's ability to comply with WILEAG's standards. For further information, contact Captain Michelle Leffler at mleffler§waukeshacounty.gov.
Anyone wishing to submit written comments about the Waukesha County Sheriffs ability to comply with the standards for accreditation may send them to the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group at the following address:
WILEAG, PO BOX 528, Hartland, W1 53029.
