DANBURY, CT — Police have charged a New Milford man with multiple counts of drug possession following a months-long investigation.
The Danbury Police Department began its investigation of Gerald "Gerry" Hall, 58, following multiple complaints from residents that he was selling illicit drugs throughout the Danbury area.
Danbury investigator, joined by colleagues from the New Milford PD and Brookfield PD, began surveillance of Hall's Danbury Road residence around 4 p.m. Thursday. After the police saw Hall's vehicle enter the driveway of his residence around 6:30 p.m., they executed search and seizure warrants on his person, car and residence.
According to their report, investigators found Hall to be in possession of a "substantial quantity" of cocaine, prescription opioids, and US currency.
Police took Hall to Danbury Police HQ and charged him with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts of possession of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school and three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school. He was later released on bond.
