Description
GAITHERSBURG, MD — Gaithersburg's two farmers markets kick off the summer season this month.
The Casey Market — which relocated from Fulks Corner in Olde Towne to the Casey Community Center — will hold a grand opening with special offers on Thursday, May 6. The summer market will run weekly through Nov. 18, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The first 100 people who attend the reopening will receive a branded reusable shopping bag.
The Main Street Farmers Market is currently open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It's located at the Main Street Park & Pavilion at 301 Main St. — about a block away from Kentlands Boulevard. There you'll find fresh fruits and vegetables, coffee, distilled spirits, bread, and baked goods for sale.
To help stem the spread of COVID-19, customers will be required to wear face coverings and social distance. Service dogs are the only pets allowed at the farmers markets.
