Description
MILFORD, CT — A developer is seeking approval from the Planning and Zoning Board for a proposed mixed-use building to replace a former fire damaged building at 51 Roses Mill Road.
The applicant proposes to reconstruct and expand a mixed-use building that was demolished due to a fire. The building will have 12 parking spaces and 12 storage rooms dedicated and accessory to each dwelling unit, on the lowest (basement) level.
The first floor is proposed to be a bank/commercial space. The second and third stories, each with six 1-bedroom apartments are above the commercial level. A total of 38 parking spaces are provided. A drive-up ATM machine with a 10-car queue is shown on the site plan.
An August 2020 fire badly damaged the building on the property where one person was found dead.
At one point the asking price for the property was $1.6 million, according to a flyer for the site.
The Planning and Zoning Board will consider the proposal at its Tuesday, May 4 meeting. A public hearing will be held. For details on how to participate in the hearing, click here.
