Description
The Financial Aid Assistant assists students, provides customer service for in-person visitors and live chat, by-phone, and e-mail, as well as provides administrative and clerical support for Financial Aid Department units. Duties include, but are not limited to, scanning documents; data entry and information retrieval; preparing mailings, reports and other documents; answering in-person, live chat, telephone and e-mail inquiries; and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
A high school diploma or GED required and one to three years of administrative support experience are required. Other requirements include strong customer service and communication skills, proficiency in a Windows-based computer environment, and experience working with databases (including data entry & retrieval).
Associate degree and experience with financial assistance preferred.
