Meet Dakota, a beautiful shepherd mix around 2 - 3 years old. Dakota is looking to find her dream home. Miss Dakota had a pretty rough year. Her owner got her as a puppy, with a promise to love her until she was old and gray, but then addiction took first place. Food and water became scarce and love was far and in between. After discovering her owner had abandoned her in home without food or water, we had to get her out of there. She is so loving and more trusting than you'd expect for taking some of the out burst her previous owner had. She is eating well, but must be prompted. She gets nervous if you cry because the previous owner was extremely emotional during her outbursts. However she is quick to trusting again if you are not a threat to her. She is not reactive if nervous she just wants to hide. She does well with other dogs but I am uncertain how she would do with cats. Dakota has the energy for a family and loves kids. She seems to like to ensure they are all around her. She wants to please and would be great for a family or a couple wanting to go on walks with her. Dakota will be available for adoption tomorrow after wellness check and vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $65. I will be donating her adoption fee to a local rescue.
