A fun event for teen girls in the Detroit and Metro Detroit Area. This event is brought to you by The Happy Confident Future Foundation, Girls Destined For Greater Mentoring Group and Nylah's Sister! Each girl will be gifted with lunch, a swag bag and a SWIMSUIT for the summer! First come first serve! We will have professional trainer and RN LaTisha Black from Your Perfect Physique conducting our class! An event to promote healthy self-esteem among teen girls ages 9-18. Our goal is to provide teen girls with the resources and education to promote healthy self-esteem through exercise. This project will encourage girls to love themselves inside and outside. From this project, girls will learn safe ways to exercise and care for their bodies, gain knowledge on the benefits of using healthy foods to fuel their body and embrace a positive view on personal body image. The benefits from this project will extend far beyond the project dates as teens will be equipped with health education to share with their peers and their family members, useful exercise techniques to promote better study habits and improve mental health. The Happy Confident Future Foundation We are a nonprofit organization that helps Detroit youth ages 12-18 who are at risk of unsuccessfully transitioning into a thriving adulthood due to low self-esteem, poverty, and lack of educational resources. Our foundation is built on 4 pillars of success. They are Academic Success, Healthy Self-Esteem, Financial Preparedness and Work Readiness.
