Model Electronics is seeking an experienced Automotive Electronics and Accessory Installer, Accessory Mechanic. Technicians conduct installations, de-installations and repair automotive electronics, off road accessories, wheels tires, navigation, audio, remote starts, alarms, safety equipment, using company approved methods and workmanship standards.Location Northern NJ serving the tri-state area in company owned vehicles Monday-Friday plus rotating retail Saturday schedule.Responsibilities:Installation of Automotive Electronics and Accessories.Maintain proper service paperwork.Maintain customer relations on an operational level.Provide technical assistance to client personnel and customers on product functionality.Requirements:1-2 years' experience in mobile electronics, mobile devices or other 12-Volt installations such as navigation systems, car alarms or stereo preferred.MECP is a plus.Must possess a Valid Driver's License.Capable of individual quality decisions independent of direct supervision, setting proper task priorities, efficiently managing time and company resources.Excellent problem solving skills for on the spot resolution to customer concerns is needed. Basic computer, customer service, problem solving and good communication skills required.Knowledge of mobile electronics or other 12-Volt installations including navigation systems, car alarms, car stereos/audio, etc.Other technical training and/or experience will be considered.Background in electronic components, automotive industry, and equipment maintenance a plus. $19-$22 per hour with excellent benefits package, including health and 401k.
