Pet Food Express is looking for a motivated and tech-savvy Maintenance Technician who communicates and collaborates well, can solve problems, and goes above and beyond to provide excellent service to our stores.  Reporting to the Asst. Facilities Manager, you will provide maintenance service to our Pet Food Express retail store locations and Corporate Offices/Warehouse in the Bay Area. This position requires frequent travel between work sites.  What you'll do: Prioritize and perform a wide variety of inspection, repairs, and maintenance duties across our 50 bay area stores, while providing solutions to problems in the most efficient manner Manage work orders to completion Service Pet Wash equipment (training provided) Support the Facilities department with construction and special projects Support the IT Department with installations on an as-needed basis What you'll have: A minimum of three years experience in building maintenance Ability to work nights and weekends “on-call”  Excellent verbal communication, customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to share/receive information and knowledge to understand, assess and solve facility problems Ability to work independently with solid time management skills Strong plumbing, electrical and handyman skills essential Tech-savvy preferred with a strong ability to use computers, smartphones, and mobile devices to communicate, manage work, and do research Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills Experience using CMMS or business integration software a plus College or trade school desirable Your own set of basic tools for day-to-day maintenance  Clean driving record Ability to lift 75 lbs. and physical ability to perform required job duties This position will require a background check upon offer What you’ll love: Management that cares about your professional development  Competitive compensation starting at $25/hr; including vacation time, paid holidays and sick time.  A generous employee discount  Health insurance, 401k match, profit sharing, and other great benefits—even pet insurance!  Dog-friendly office with on-site dog park  About the Company  We at Pet Food Express pride ourselves on making pets’ lives better by offering high quality, innovative, and unique pet foods and products.
