SUNOL, CA — State Route 84, also known as Niles Canyon Road, will be fully closed between Palomares Road and Main Street in both directions 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Monday this week, Caltrans officials said. Intermittent nighttime full closures will take place through Friday.
The closures will allow for soil nail wall construction on the Alameda Creek Bridge Replacement Project, officials said. Detours will be in effect with signs to guide motorists.
The same stretch of Highway 84 is scheduled for intermittent nighttime full closures through mid-June, officials said. Drivers will be alerted of the details on a weekly basis.
