MARINA DEL REY, CA — Library reopenings are coming to Los Angeles County, including Lloyd Taber-Marina del Rey Library. The Los Angeles County Library announced Sunday that 30 of its 85 libraries will reopen for in-person service beginning May 10, bringing the total number of reopened libraries in the county system to 60. Libraries will reopen at limited capacity — only 75%. People are still required to maintain six feet of physical distance as a precaution against COVID-19. The goal is to prioritize equity and consider reopening libraries in underserved areas where residents use in-person services. The city of Los Angeles Public Library system will begin a phased reopening of the Central Library and 37 other branches for in-person services beginning Monday.
