LOS ANGELES, CA — Two men were killed and a woman was hospitalized in an early morning shooting at a strip mall in Los Angeles.
The shooting in the Arlington Height area was reported just before 1 a.m. at Crenshaw and Washington boulevards, according to Officer A. Delatorre of the Los Angeles Police Department's Operations Center. The woman was rushed to a trauma center in stable condition, and both men died at the scene, according to the LAPD.
"When officers arrived they found a victim who had suffered gunshot wounds ... inside of his vehicle and unresponsive," police said in a statement.
"A second victim was down in the parking lot," police said. "He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was unresponsive."
A gun was found by one of the slain men, Lt. John Radke toldKTLA. It was unclear if the two men had been in a shootout or if a shooter remained at large. Police described the wounded woman as a bystander. The incident may have begun with an argument at the nearby Gringo's Mariscos & Beer investigators said.
The slain men were between the ages of 25 and 30. Their names were withheld, pending notification of their relatives.
No suspect information was available. Police urge anyone with information about the case to call investigators at 213-382-9470, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
