Basically, looking for a pet sitter..... on for my hens. It’s hard to find good chicken help. I have approximately 25 chickens, hens and silkies. I have two flocks with two separate coops and runs. We travel often and need help when we are out of town on overnight trips. The job is easy. I need someone to let them out in the morning, fill their food and water for the day and close up their coops at night after they’ve gone to bed. All of our girls are friendly. They are well behaved and put themselves to bed at sun down. They are not one bit of trouble. Two visits a day. Fairly simple gig. No cleaning required. I simply need someone unafraid of chickens to make sure they are safe when I travel. No chicken experience required but it would definitely help if you aren’t afraid of them. I will pay a fair wage, per visit and you can keep the eggs you collect.
