DO NOT OPENLY ENTERTAIN ANYONE SELLING REPTILES ON HERE. Do not just attempt to purchase anything. Chances are they’re sick, stolen, or honestly looking to rob you at gun point, etc. This has already happened to a lot of people in the Charlotte area. 98% of people looking to sell reptiles are scammers. They prey on the ignorance of people who aren’t familiar with exotic animals. Realistically they don’t know anything about the animals they have when put to the test. Do not get me wrong there are genuine posts. BUT PEOPLE, DO YOUR RESEARCH! A simple web search that’ll take you a minute could save you loosing a pet, a lot of money or injury. I say this as part of the reptile community. I love all animals and this could be applied throughout the pets section of CL but reptiles are animals with very specific needs and requirements. The lack of knowledge that looms in this community is embarrassing. Without proper care these nonnative animals die a slow death with poor husbandry or are dumped outside to die. This I’ve seen first hand in the heart of Charlotte. Be smart people. Look out for one another.
