We provide mobile service staff for catered events. We are a network of servers, bartenders, banquet staff, kitchen assistants and folks who can just about do it all. We typically perform every kind of event task beginning with setting up tables and chairs and finishing the break down/clean up by stacking those same tables and chairs. We do not cook food, but instead, assist Food vendors and Restaurants and Backyard Chefs and want Service Staff to come in and assist. Essentially, clients call when they need assistance hosting an event. Sometimes we are involved in months of planning, but it is not uncommon for people to call asking for assistance with very short notice. Most events tend to be in the Boulder/ Longmont area, but we find ourselves in Mountain venues from time to time and from Denver to Ft. Collins, occasionally. Events are scattered throughout the week but are mostly Thursday – Sunday. Restaurant or food service experience is helpful, but not necessary. TIPS certification is recommended. 18 years of age or older. Clean appearance is important. Friendly, helpful attitude is necessary. Exceptional guest service skills are essential. You gotta be nice. You gotta smile. You gotta act like you care. INDUSTRY STANDARDS Must be able and willing to lift at least 25 lbs. and occasionally assist lifting up to 45 lbs. Must be able to stoop, lift and bend. Stand for at least 8 hours, navigate stairs or steps and walk on uneven ground while carrying trays, buss tubs or other items. Be responsive to verbal and written requests from the site manager or event host. Assist patrons, while maintaining an upbeat and pleasant demeanor. Multitask. Refrain from using mobile communication device until an approved time. INDUSTRY STANDARD DRESS CODE SHIRT -- Clean pressed solid black button down, collared long sleeved shirt. --Short sleeve, Polo/golf style shirt or button up may be acceptable on a case by case basis. PANTS -- Clean pressed black/grey pants, capris or skirt are typically accepted. SHOES -- Clean, Black, close-toed, rubber soled shoes or sneakers. Bring your event shirt to change into after set up is completed. Quite often, thrift shops and 2nd hand clothing stores supply appropriate clothing. Aprons are usually provided by the venue or by AYS. Bring your own sunscreen, bug repellant, nonalcoholic beverage and snack. Do not consume alcohol or recreational drugs while representing At Your Service Event Management. Sometimes a meal is included by the host but not always. Pay ranges from an average of around $14.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on your base and gratuities.
