Looking for someone around 20-23 hours per week. Someone who is physically strong and enormously caring and patient. K is 20 years old, and has Sanfilippo Syndrome - look it up, but don't be put off, because she has exceeded the textbook's expectations. She is non-verbal, and needs full assistance to walk, toileting and feeding, tube feeding will be part of your responsibilities. She does some amazing things, like yoga, stroller walks on trails and dog parks, visits to the barn with her horses and barn cats. This job is for someone who wants to help defy odds; make a connection with an amazing non-verbal girl; explore alternative therapies first hand; create challenges and forge successes. We need strength, intuition, dedication, hope, excitement, fun, but mostly, love and more love.
