Hello, Urbana family with a growing number of yard/garage/house projects that need attention to looking for reliable, honest worker. Normally, we'd do these kinds of things ourselves, but we also know how hard people have been hit by the pandemic and are trying to help. Plus, we've run out of time with small children. It's not a ton of work, and certainly not full time, but there's a lot of stuff to do with regards to the yard, some trees, deck, and an upcoming basement remodel. Mostly outdoors, a lot of it strenuous. The hard stuff pays $20/hr, the easy stuff pays $15. Sometimes you'll be sent to, say, a hardware store to get things, so travel time and distance will be paid. Really difficult stuff will be paid more accordingly. Bonuses for outstanding jobs or clever solutions will also be paid. Work can be any day of the week. Weekends work well for us if you want to work them. Weekdays are more challenging but one of us works from home full-time--just finding time to peel away and give directions can be challenging. Inside stuff will only be on Tues/Thurs/Friday as there are fewer people here on those days (to limit your exposure from us and our exposure from you.) Pay will be cash. I can't promise you'll be paid daily but you'll be paid frequently, it just depends on how often I'll need to get cash. We're also certainly flexible and understanding if you need more frequent pay earlier on. Jobs will be things like: * seeding/fertilizing the lawn * bringing junk up from the basement * watering lawn, plants * garage organization * dethatching/aerating/leveling rough spots in yard * pressure washing driveway, house, sidewalks, etc * removal and installation of door locks, knobs, etc * inside and outside painting * light/basic carpentry * construction debris removal Must be familiar with cordless power tools, corded power tools, gasoline powered tools, air tools like nailers and staplers and such. Must be willing to treat my tools with care. Must provide proof of vaccination, wear a mask when around people outside, as well as at all times while indoors. Must be able to manage time successfully--I'm not going to manage you down to the minute, but I'm also not paying for a bunch of time spent on the phone or on facebook. If you work over lunch, lunch will usually be provided. Must be able to get here reliably. Looking to hire one or more people depending on your availability. While not necessary, if you have references, please offer those as well if you're comfortable with that. What you're availability is and any limitations you have on, say, lifting heavy things and such.
