Permanent part time to possible full time opening for qualified Horse farm help. Top notch well known breeding and boarding horse farm has a special opportunity open. Fabulous opportunity to work with incredible horses and become a part of a long term team. Requirements Include but are not limited to: Must have a good knowledge of health and welfare of horses. Compassionate and passionate about equines. Knowledge of handling horses. Knowledge of breeding and foaling a plus and will be considered in your pay rate. Feeding and Watering : Hay, Grain, supplements, medications: must be able to lift 65lbs. Must be able to drive a truck pulling a small hay trailer. Maintain the care of keeping grounds tidy and presentable. Cleaning of stalls, pens, water buckets. Good communication skills is a must as well as easy to get along with manager, vets, ferriers and clients. A team player who has some flexibility. Person should be in good physical condition love working outside and know how to dress appropriately for adverse weather conditions and know how important it is to take care of animals in any kind of weather. Must be able to work holidays if your shift falls on a holiday or flexible to trade with other staff members. I have the current opening for 3-4 days a week shifts, roughly 630 am to noon. Additional hours when extra chores need to be completed such as weeding, fixing fences, painting, etc So it is helpful if you live within 30 minutes or less of I40 and 217. Must have valid social security number, drivers license, reliable transportation for adverse weather conditions and job references.
