We are looking for candidates for a position that installs windows in residences, both new and remodels construction. Insulation Installers will be installing residential insulation (both new construction custom homes and retro-fit insulation) in walls, attics, ceilings and subfloors. Installers will also be working on commercial/industrial projects new construction and/or remodel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reads job work order, loads appropriate material, documents numbers loaded and installed, collects payment from customer when applicable. - Installs insulation products and performs services according to job work order. - Assists with the proper loading & unloading of tools and materials for the job. Adheres to "tie-down" procedures to ensure safe delivery of load. - Operates tools and equipment as required for the job, keeping in mind all safety regulations. Maintains tools on a daily basis protecting from damage or loss. - Assists with the verification that tools and equipment are in good working order - Protects and conserves all company resources and assets whenever possible- Salvages materials from the work site and returns it to stock after use - Surveys jobsites for potential hazards and communicates findings to supervisor and fellow installers. - Cleans work site, vehicle and equipment daily. EXPERIENCE - Experience in residential and commercial construction and installing insulation for a minimum of one year (credit given only if experience from licensed contractors). - Possess valid driver's license and be insurable by company auto policy. LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to communicate with customers, Production Managers and support personnel in a clear and professional manner and consistent with a cooperative team based environment. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to apply concepts of basic math. REASONING SKILLS - Ability to analyze work situations and make appropriate decisions during the course of performing work PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Physical Mobility - Sufficient physical mobility and durability is required in order to: - Work under dwellings in crawl spaces (confined spaces) with as little as 18" clearance or in basements with work done 18" above shoulder. - Climb ladders and/or scaffolding to work on ceilings, roof tops or in attics. - Must be able to wear fall protection / body harness - Operate hand and power -operated tools associated with the building industry. Pulmonary Function - Must be unimpaired by breathing limitations in order to utilize masks and respirators. - Lifting Objects– Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes inward pulling). The employee must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds with regularity. Compensation: $16.00-$16.50PH DOE (Overtime is Mandatory) - 16.50 PH rate goes for individuals who can drive. Days/Hours: Approximately 40-60 hours per week Hours: 5:30 am – End of day determined by production schedule. Saturdays are regular work days Hours: 6:00 am - End of day determined by production schedule.
