Hello Players !! I moved to Spruce Pine a couple months ago and am really wanting to find some local players. I don't mind some travel time but close sure would be great. Been playin since 1974, have a Tama kit and a PA system so playing outdoors won't kill me as I can mike up with a few thousand watts (two 18" subs run off 1000 watt amp, two powered mackey 12" Thump mains, mics and mixer for my kit, etc) This last weekend we went to the Biker rally in Maggie Valley and they could not find any bands.......we are needed. I can play allot of different things but really enjoy the southern rock genre. Mostly been in originals acts, toured with a blues act, played allot of west coast gigs, lived in Seattle for 40 years before it went to hell. Yes I like 420 and a few vodkas in the evenings but won't tolerate babysitting drunks, people who don't respect my time and heavy drug users.....sorry I'll be gone fast. I run 2 successful internet businesses so my time is my own and I can schedule around my music. I'm also good at promotion and deal making, it's my intent to become well known at the biker events as these crowds love their musicians I have the time and energy to either join a band or start my own but I want people who will take this seriously so it is FUN.....Oh yeah I can also do some lead and backing vocals while playing.
