Red Plate Foods needs a full time Warehouse Associate to provide support for company operations including inventory management, managing inbound/outbound shipments, and assisting the Warehouse Manager with various tasks. Red Plate is growing quickly, and we are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a team environment, cheerfully interacts with coworkers, loves a fast-paced environment, is up for constant change and is comfortable with delicate situations and independent problem solving while recognizing situations that require asking for help. POSITION SUMMARY: This position will report directly to the Warehouse Manager. This position will be directly involved in all aspects of the inventory management, logistics and fulfillment processes. OTHER DUTIES WILL INCLUDE: • Performing general warehouse duties including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, following safety guidelines, and operating equipment. • Learning and becoming proficient in forklift operation. • Driving a box truck both in town and for deliveries/ pickups in the Portland Metro area. • Maintaining receiving logs and other paperwork necessary for food production facilities. • Assisting bakery production operations through timely delivery of ingredient and packaging requests. JOB REQUIREMENTS: • A minimum of 1 years warehouse/operations experience. • Must be able to work well both independently and as part of a diverse team. • Must be able to handle stressful situations and time critical tasks while maintaining a professional attitude and demeanor. • Demonstrates good organizational, verbal and written communication skills. • Must be able to handle the ambiguity of a small, startup environment and come to work with a team mentality, willing to pitch in and work on whatever needs doing. • The interview will include an in person and working portion. The right candidate must be able to work directly with the warehouse manager while showing they can join the team comfortably. • A clean driving record.
