Clifton & Clifton Monuments, Inc. is looking for a Monument Shop Assistant to join our team! The Monument Shop Assistant will be responsible for assisting with memorial monument shop functions such as cleaning and maintenance and delivering and installing monuments. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, enthusiastic, and dependable. Job Responsibilities (not limited to): • Handle and transport granite using a forklift and truck crane • Mix and pour concrete/mortar • Install stencil on granite monuments before blasting • Help with hand polish, sandblast of monuments • Dig trench for foundation using hand tools • Aid in the installation of monuments in local cemeteries • Responsible for the daily shop operations • Assist with fabrication/production of granite Memorials in our shop • Under supervision may operate small boom truck crane or shop overhead crane to lift a stone • Able to maintain and keep the shop floor clean and tidy • Maintains, services, cleans, and properly stores equipment. • Able to Unloading and loading of heavy stones with the assistance of machines/cranes Job Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience • Ability to operate work-related machinery, including truck-mounted crane, and hand tools • Able to work in various weather conditions eight or more hours per day • Ability to lift at least 80 lbs. • Must possess a valid drivers license and be insurable • Must be reliable, professional, and be able to follow instructions • No Work / Education experienced candidates will be considered too. MUST HAVES: • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record to be able to be added to the Company's insurance for driving company Vehicles.
