..Grizzled, aged, disheveled and musically experienced (not business) barking mad rock percussionist -drummer aka Patent British Exploding Drummer, is seeking acoustic/ electric guitarist and or piano/keys who sings and can front or co-front. I don't/can't sing, trust me on this one. NO mercurial micro-mangers THIS WILL BE A GROUP WITH EQUIL GROUP CHOICES AND EFFORTS. The goal is to form duo or trio to perform covers and original tunes for various and sundry open mics, outdoor busking, pubs, clubs, parties that lot. If the chem is right, maybe more and the probable trappings that a proper duo/trio should have. Seeking living-breathing musicians, decent experience- moderate to manic a plus- enthusiasm a must.. Serious enough but not furrowed brow serious. Best case,could be a bit more than open mics. Worst case- nice chance to make music with some new mates in public. THE BAND STYLE- less violent than the Who and hornless and not as chaotic as Fishbone. So bring your energy. THE BAND SOUND-Blues boogie-woogie roots rock in the vein of Little Feat, The Band, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, The Record Company, Grateful Dead, John Lee Hooker, Lighting Hopkns, Dr John, BB King, Stevie Wonder, Howling Wolf, some Stones, Kinks, the Nighthawks, Ray Charles, Traffic that lot. THIS BAND is looking for an sound that is oooold school rhythm 'n blues driven. Seeking barrelhouse piano and (or) solid guitar. You could do much- much- much worse, like walk off a cliff or hit yourself in the head with a marlin. Give it a go, eh? Once I stop my gobbing I'm rather easy to work and play with. I'm the best Yrizarry style drummer you've ever heard. Previously I've played "Go-Go" music, drum circles, open mics teamed with all styles of guitarists: county, blues, random yodeling, rock the works. I'm loyal and a team player. I can drive the song, support the song or accent the song, all depending on what is needed. I can even go full on ape-poo if desired or dared. I'm a different drummer a slash note drummer who plays by feel. SEEKING OTHER MEMBERS your playing should be more creative than carbon copy. The right one should be ready to bring their own style and put their own stamp on the song. Ear catching creativity over KA-BOOM. The odd wrong note and musical wander is happily welcome. Don't be afraid to be a bit reckless, kick sand, play outside the box and have fun. Fun! If it's not fun-don't do it!
