We grew out of Cincinnati’s own Baroque Violin Shop and have 50 years of expertise behind us, but more than that- we care about what we do, we care about our teammates AND... our customers can feel (and hear) the difference! JOB OVERVIEW We are looking to hire 2 new “setup” teammates to help us string up thousands of violins, violas, cellos & basses for the coming School rental season. We will be hiring 2 more folks (4 total) in the coming months, so these roles have strong possibility for upwards movement in the company to a position of instrument allocator or assistant operations manager. We might be a great fit for you! We’re looking for a self-starter who can manage their time effectively. The role requires drive and a sense of accountability because the day-to-day working environment will involve very little direct supervision. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES This is a full time permanent position working 8:30AM-5PM, Monday through Friday. > You get to work with beautiful instruments all day every day! You can listen to your own music or chat as you help thousands of students across the country start a successful music journey! > The setup table is where the instruments are assembled with some of their components for orders ie strings, tailpieces and a few other elements are paired with instruments. > This requires small motor skills and high attention to detail and a majority of the work happens at a common space with your own desk area & personal tools along with a few shared tools. > Most of the tasks can be learned within a day or two and the skill improves over time, especially with the variety of components that can be used as each order is tailored to a specific customer’s needs. POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND COMPENSATION > You must be 18 years or older > You must have a high school diploma or equivalent > The starting rate of pay for this position is $13.50 per hour, with the possibility of higher compensation based on experience. > This comes with an attractive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, PTO after first year, etc). The potential for upward mobility within the company is strong as we are fairly young, but growing rapidly. Paid holidays and vacation are available and increase with seniority.
