Eli is a sweet, spunky little guy that has such a big zest for life. During his recent photo shoot, while walking on a leash to the field of buttercups, he listened attentively and respected his handler’s commands. Once there, his puppy instincts took over and he rolled in the buttercups, making sure to enjoy every moment. He can always be found smiling and wanting to say hi to everyone. At only a year old, he still has a lot of puppy energy, but has shown that he will make a great companion. Our process: If you are interested in Eli or any of our adorable adoptables, please fill out an adoption application from our website. An adoption counselor will be in contact with you following the submission of your application. If approved, they will arrange a meet and greet at one of our monthly trips to Chesapeake or at our shelter. Visits to the shelter are by appointment only, as we are a volunteer-run rescue organization. All PAWS dogs are spayed/neutered, and current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm. All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.
