Feeding Philly follows Action Tank on their year-long mission in the fight against hunger in Philadelphia. Feeding Philly (2020), directed by Tim Tingling, follows Action Tank on their year-long mission in the fight against hunger as they work with community partners to improve the food insecurity landscape in Greater Philadelphia. Copyright Giddyup Bronco Productions 2020. Action Tank is a diverse group of veterans who share a common goal—to serve as a positive force for change. They may have taken off the uniform, but we will never stop serving. During an impactful 2017 working with our community partners to combat the opioid epidemic which has ravaged our community and communities across our nation, we also saw first-hand the impact of food insecurity on our fellow citizens. This experience drove us to focus on food insecurity for 2018. Since working in food insecurity in 2018, Action Tank has continued to work with their partners in food insecurity and expanding their network by volunteering with organizations like the SHARE Food Program, Sharing Excess, and Philly Food Rescue. In November of 2020, Action Tank had their first screening of Feeding Philly, shining a light on the vast growing issue of food insecurity in Philadelphia.
