Join the Dunellen Arts & Culture Commission for an interactive musical lecture on "The Evolution of the Blues" Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 3 p.m. at the Dunellen Senior Center, Columbia Park, Dunellen.
Joe Becton knows his history. Having majored in history education, Joe has been a historical tour guide in Philadelphia after retiring from his position of Supervisory Park Ranger for the National Park Service at Independence National Historical Park. He is the co-founder of the 3rd Regiment Infantry United States Colored Troops Civil War Reenactors, and the First Rhode Island Regiment American Revolutionary War Reenactors. And...
Joe Becton also knows his music. He's toured around the country with several bands and is currently with the Cobalt Blues. He can play numerous instruments, from the electric guitar to the glass armonica. He will combine his two loves in his signature program "The Evolution of Blues."
Get ready to sing along and learn the history behind America's music.
FREE ADMISSION. The event will be outside of the Senior Center (by the Columbia Park gazebo). Please bring your own chair and abide by current NJ COVID-10 safety procedures. In the event of rain, the program will be held inside the Senior Center. Limited seating.
