Overturned Semi Truck Causes Traffic Delays On San Diego's SR-163

SAN DIEGO, CA — An overturned big rig shut down the eastbound and westbound Balboa Avenue on-ramps to SR-163 Sunday morning, Caltrans said. The agency was urging drivers to use alternate routes. The report of the semi-truck, which was on its side blocking the roadway, came in around 11:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The road may be shut down for much of the afternoon. It is unknown whether there were any injuries reported or other vehicles involved. This is a developing story, check back for updates.
