Press release from the City of Reno: April 28, 2021 In our ongoing commitment to keep citizens and media informed, we've summarized the outcomes of a few key agenda items from today's Regular Meeting of the Reno City Council: I.1 - Lakeridge/6000 Plumas Street Redevelopment Council voted to modify the Planning Commission's ruling for the tentative map and use permit to require $1,000 per unit contribution to community aquatic needs along with $1,000 per unit for affordable housing community funding. B.5, B.6 - Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility Improvements Council approved two contracts for engineering design services and aeration tank evaluation and rehabilitation. The City of Reno's contribution to the regional contracts totals approximately $315,500 and $197,000. B.7 - American Flat Supplemental Irrigation Council approved the conditional agreement with the Truckee Meadows Water Authority to pay for additional water use for farmland and well repair. Presenters noted that a unified response helped streamline operations for advertisements, messaging, and themes like "Mask On, Move On." The entities also explained the emphasis on Spanish-language and Hispanic community outreach. D.4 - StoneGate Special Assessment District Council approved the first reading of an ordinance to create a special assessment district for the development. However, the council directed staff to prepare revisions related to community benefits and size considerations.
