Description
Hi. I am seeking out an old-fashioned, young at heart, detail-tinkering, "grease monkey' kinda guy to help with minor tweaks (not Mods) to my aging Audi - that is in remarkably good condition but needs a little TLC in the following areas, all minor repairs. The car is serviced regularly but I'd like it summer road opimized. It's an A3 (non-Quattro) hatchback - 2008 model. The work will begin this week during daytime / evening hours and you can do it here, or you can lift me back here and do it at your garage/shop. The price may flex based on level of my involvement/inconvenience needed to get this done. So, ideally, bring your tools and some patience, internet access to resolve the details.
Here are the items in need of repair. Nothing is urgent - I just want to car tip-top for the road:
Both inner cabin and engine air filters (have parts) need replacement,
New gas filter needs to be installed in fuel line, plastic reservoir for wiper fluid swapped;
Trim piece by rear-center tail-light needs to be put in, plastic antennae need fastening;
Sunroof shade, inner latch, front/rearneed attention, minor repair, w/ DAP or silicone glue, etc.
Minor vibration from under dash area, by cabin vent filter cover, affix/ fasten better
Rear DS door latch/lock needs calibration so it always latches / releases w/electric locking signal
[oversight of key replication process with certified locksmith to clone 2 more keys (have 1 of 2 ever cut) and have 2 new blanks with embedded chip)]
Read, search and set tire pressure to proper level for summer (currently ~38 PSI front, 34 in rear on 75 degree CO days)
Ball hitch welded or installed - TBD.
Pay is hourly based on estimate and review of all the minor matters to be optimized.
