Description

Gray kitten, we think its female but not 100% because its hard to tell when they are still tiny. Not very well litter box trained currently. Reluctantly eating hard food. Mom is weaning it slowly. Goal is to rehome the kitten Saturday May 10. They should be ready by then, mom will have weaned and kitten will be a little more independent about litter boxing and eating alone. We are taking donations for the kitten because the 4 paws rescue society says its not smart to give them away free because they tend to end up abused or neglected. Email me with offers and let me know what your current pet situation is and past experience is with kittens. This kitten has never been outside so if you want a cat for the outdoors this is NOT the one for you. Mom is an outdoor/indoor so there are a few fleas especially this time of year. We flea spot treat mom but that doesn't completely stop fleas and they love tender kitten skin so you probably want to get some blue DAWN dish detergent for flea killing until the kitten is big enough for spot treatments on the back of the neck at 12 weeks. It has had a few Dawn baths, careful, it bites (no worse than you would expect) ** You MUST bring a pet carrier on the day you pick up the kitten. It is not fair to expect a kitten to stay calm for a car ride when it has never been in a car, been out of the house or heard outdoor noises before. This is a VERY sheltered kitten expect it to be standoffish. ** Kitten has not been to the vet but will be wormed once before may 10th. As soon as it decides to eat cat food a little better I will add some wormer to its food.
