We consist of a drummer, a keyboardist/soundscape artist, a mime artist and a ballerina. We are seeking an auxiliary percussionist to help bolster our sound. We have a completed song, and additional material. We are planning on the recording of a song. You will be using congas, meat hooks, timales, resonant oil drums, chainsaws, wrought-iron scrap metal and assorted items such as bottles, goat hooves, metal drumsticks, bull testes, and knives. I'm looking to incorporate Haitian and British polyrhythms into the music to emphasize and augment the drummer's pleasure as needed for each song, helping to forge a unique, creative sound. He can teach you how he likes it. The percussive element of the band is a strong component, and we are looking for someone who will not just augment the drummer, but build up his sense of frustration and desire. Influences: Swans, Damaged/My War/Slip It In-era Black Flag, Slap Me Hard, Neurosis, Brothers of the Meat Cloth, Tottenham, Birthday Party Massacre, Pigface, Tool Poster, Throbbing Gristle, FU Waste, Leadbelly, Killing Joke, Saint Vitus, SPK, Godflesh, Jesu, Jarboe, Head of David and many others. I expect to build upon a naturally evolving sound. We will be rehearsing online. No drugs.
