Description
This is Chestnut, and he is up for adoption through Always Sunny Sanctuary and Rescue. He is one of the first four bunnies that we took in and it’s actually really hard for me to let him go, and he’ll only go to a very special home.
Chestnut came from a terrible situation in which he lived outside and was starving, so he deserves the world. He is around 2 years old and quite the adventurous and friendly bunny. He’ll do just about anything for food and warms up fairly quickly to new human friends. He loves windows and taking a nap in the sunlight flooding in. He hates being picked up, like most bunnies, and will thump at you if you try to put him back in his pen, but the attitude is part of his charm. He’s also a fairly large bunny, so there’s a lot of him to pet! He is also litter box trained. He’d be an excellent free roam bunny and family pet.
Chestnut does NOT play well with other bunnies. He is neutered and we have tried to bond him with many other bunnies but he is extremely aggressive. He does fine with a barrier and won’t lash out even just through pen bars, but he just doesn’t do well when there are no barriers. We have bonded many other bunnies, so it’s not through lack of trying.
If you’re in Arizona and interested in adopting Chestnut, send us an email or message rhe Always Sunny Sanctuary and Rescue facebook page.
