Former Stray Cat Needs a Farm

Last year I took in a really nice stray 2 year old cat. He's neutered and up to date on his shots. While he's a great cat - he doesn't seem happy and always wants to get back outside. I think he's the ideal candidate to be a barn/farm cat. I've contacted local shelters about the various barn cat programs and no one has even bothered to respond to my emails so I've give up on going that route. If anyone knows of a program to contact directly (most only go through shelters), if you know of a farm that could use a good mouser, or if you yourself could use a barn cat then please let me know.
