I've never missed anyone more than I miss you. The way you'd bite your lips when you were feeling playful. The way, even in a crowded place our eyes would always find each other and lock, and the gaze would always be hard to break. The way you shifted against me while you were sleeping, reaching out for my hand or arm to grasp even with your gentle snore rumbling as if background noise. The way you held me when you were afraid. I even miss that annoyed smile when I made bad jokes or dropped something like an idiot. I miss you. I think I always will. I hope youre well. We don't talk about anything but our kid anymore, but I wish we could talk more. I wish we could be more. I'm not ready to be attached to someone, not even you. I have a lot of work to do on myself before I can give anything to another person... but I hope when I am ready that we will see other in a new light, and regain the deep and lasting happiness that we found together.
