NYC Footy, a premier co-ed social soccer league in NYC, is looking for referees for our co-ed leagues. Please review our website at www.nycfooty.com to see how much fun we have. We are looking for referees who not only know the rules, are punctual, reliable, responsible, and accountable, but have an even better grasp of how to deal with people/players to ensure that games run smoothly (e.g., a good sense of humor). ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Referee Games • Manage logistics including: timely start and completion of games and team/referee transitions • Help in setup and take down of the field • At times, carry balls, cones, pennies • Dispute resolution/mediation • Time management • Work with other referees and team owners to improve the league • Learn NYC Footy Rules (see website) PREFERRED: • Experience in refereeing soccer (USSF Certified at some point) • Experience playing soccer • Female (we are a coed league and a coed referee staff) To Apply: • Please email a cover note describing your experience/interest and/or resume (if available), and the days and times you are available.
