This workshop was created with beginners in mind. No prior lettering or calligraphy experience is necessary.
In this workshop you will learn how to:
Hold and use a brush penUse guidelines for consistencyCreate basic calligraphy strokesUse the basic strokes to form lettersConnect letters to create words and phrasesAdd personal style using bounce lettering and flourishingYou will receive a take-home supply kit that includes:
A guided workbook including: uppercase and lowercase alphabet templates, a faux calligraphy guide, words & phases practice sheets, styling tips, and guideline pages.2 brush pens1 monoline art penA variety of lettering papersOther lettering tools such as: a pencil, eraser, paperclips, etc.A personalized name cardTo allow for personal instruction, the opportunity for one-on-one guidance, and proper social distancing, this workshop is limited to 8 attendees. Each attendee requires a ticket for entry. Light refreshments will be served.
Due to the personalized nature of this workshop, refunds cannot be accommodated. However, with at least 24 hour notice, you can transfer your ticket to a future event or another person. Transfers may incur a $15 fee to cover venue rental costs if your seat cannot be filled. Please contact Hilligraphy Ink to arrange.
