TIRE TECHNICIAN Tiresoles of Broward - Deerfield Beach 954-354-8489 TIRE TECHNICIAN: Position Summary: Tire Technician position is focused on providing top service to our customers who have tire needs. Tech must be able to repair or replace their tire(s) as needed. The technician must have ability to dismount, mount, repair and install HD Commercial tires, Light Truck and passenger tires. Major Responsibilities : Determine repairable tire conditions and make repairs Mounting and safe inflation of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements Operation of heavy duty service equipment and tools, including jacks, compressors, electric and hydraulic equipment. Maintain safe driving record Maintain professional relationship with customers Other projects (such as inventory, shop up-keep) and tasks as assigned by General Manager * Qualifications : 1 year minimum practical commercial tire experience on trucks, trailers and HD equipment Valid Class E Driver’s License and good driving record Must be able to work a rotating on-call schedule Proficiency in the use of shop tools required (ability to operate and/or use air tank, floor jack, air compressor, auto aid spray, wheel lock, air impact gun, tire mallet, hand tools, lug wrenches, air hose, etc.) Must be able to work independently and make knowledgeable decisions in the best interest of customer and as well as company Must understand, conform procedures, and demonstrate attention to detail in the maintenance of service standards and record Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, occasionally stand, walk, sit, climb, reach or balance Must be able to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions (sun, rain, cold) Must be able work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment Must be customer focused and maintain a clean appearance A strong knowledge of the geographical area is also considered a plus Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative; ability to work both independently and as part of a team Willingness to attend appropriate training sessions and to obtain any recommended certifications as directed by management * Minimum Requirements: Motor vehicle check Excellence safety and attendance performance is expected Job Type: Full-time Required education: High school or equivalent Required license or certification: Driver License Job Type: Full-time Job Location: Deerfield Beach, FL 33442 Required education: High school or equivalent Required experience: practical Roadside Assistant: 2 years Truck, Trailer and Medium to Heavy Duty Tire Technician: 1 year Required license or certification: Valid Drivers License
