House of Music is hosting our first annual Rock-A-Thon Summer Block Party. As our student groups prepare each quarter for a showcase, this year we decided to put a spin on our summer show! Students will be gathering sponsors to challenge them to play as long as they can for this show. This gives students a chance to put together all of the songs they learned that year. Not only that, but this challenge will give students a taste of how to promote their own band amongst the community, teaching them in a guided environment so they can rock it when they graduate to performing elsewhere, around town and beyond! We will be raising money for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation in support and remembrance of Jim Konieczmy, a friend of the House of Music. You can support us by helping our students with donations, or by getting a ticket to the party!
