Bird Habitat Management in the Forests, Wetlands, Fields, and Transmission line Rights-of-Way of Distant Hill Gardens and Nature Trail BIRD HABITAT MANAGEMENT AT DISTANT HILLThis workshop will focus on bird habitat management. It will be a leisurely walk to identify birds by sight & sound in a variety of habitats that have been managed at Distant Hill to encourage a diversity of species. We will be discussing bird ecology and how best to maintain the habitats we visit to support a variety of bird and other wildlife species. We will also talk about the role of invasive plants as habitat, and how to monitor wildlife response to shrub management in transmission line rights-of-way.
